Can you tell me if the warranty is void if I cut down the barrel myself? Thanks.

yes, it would void your warranty.

Why not email DSA and ask them?

The question I have to ask you is why do it?

Absolutely.

Any permenant modification to a gun will generally void the warranty, especially with a barrel, especially if it's not done by the factory or an "official" armorer.

If it fails to function or the accruacy get screwed up, it's hard to prove that you or your gunsmith weren't butchers

I wouldn't do it. Let DSA do the work. If yow want to replace the barrel that came on the rifle with a high quality one they probably have choices for you.

You might want to replace some of the used parts in the rifle. Especially the US parts. The original parts are better if you can get them new. You have to be careful that you don't end up with too few remake parts though because that could be an innocent violation of the AW ban. You have to be sort of careful in your choice of what to replace.
