Here is my new tactical shotgun, I've only taken it shooting once.  It's great, but I haven't been able buy any 3 1/2 inch shells to try out yet.

It's a 23" vented ribbed Remington 870 Express Super Magnum, on which I installed:
Tacstar 8 shot mag extension
Tacstar barrel clamp w/ sling swivel
Tacstar 6 shot side saddle
Speedfeed 3 stock(modified for supermag)
Blackhawk 15 shotshell sling
Truglo magnum gobble dot Pro Series fiber sights

So, lets see others to give me ideas for my next shotgun purchase.

Damn That looks like a heavy Sum Bitch with all that ammo. Pretty cool though.

3.5" shells - Why?

23" Barrell - Reach out and poke someone

What does the weight of that baby do to your 40 time?

Enjoy it. Shoot safe. Ps: shoot lots of slugs - that's where the fun is (IMHO).

No Flashlight?

Very sweet looking weapon.

Edited to ask:  Isn't the sling on backwards?  If you were to sling your weapon, the majority of the shells would be on your back.

Yup, the sling is backwards. I did the same thing when I used a sling like that. The other way around there's too much weight with all those shells swinging under the barrel and it makes it hard to steady. I replaced my sling with a CQB and added a sidesaddle and a buttstock shell pouch and it balances and points much better now.

I second the question - why 3.5" shells?

Looks nice. FWIW you won't be needing any 3.5 inchers for 2 legged critters, the 2.75s will do just fine. Plus using the 2.75's you will still be standing after you fire.

Now, now guys; he may be shooting geese with them 3 1/2s when its not being used as a home defense weapon.

I'm not sure that 3 1/2s are available in much other than steel shot and maybe some turkey rounds. I have never seen them in buckshot-but there isn't a lot of buckshot on the shelves here, can't hunt with it.

I've got both OO and OOO buckshot for my shotgun.  The recoil is really harsh, though, especially with a pump.  I need to get some low recoil--high power ammo for home defense.

You definitely need to get a Surefire flashlight to make that gun complete.

My home defense gun is a Rem 870 Marine Magnum with 8 shot magazine and Surefire flashlight.

This being my first shotgun, it is multipurpose, I shoot trap, and will probably try hunting with it.

It's big and heavy, but I only use the sling w/ shells for home defense.  I live in a rural area of Baltimore County.  So, in other words, break-ins still occur, but they don't come up walking.  They come in groups in rental trucks, break in, and load up the truck with everything including appliances and wirlpool tubs.  Then proceed to leave, with the alarms going off in the background the entire time.  Police response to house alarms here is about 45 minutes.  Thus the need for extra shells, if they have the balls and organization to come out here, there will be multiple armed BGs.  I've had two neighbors robbed this way.  Luckily neither were home at the time.

Enjoy it. Shoot safe. Ps: shoot lots of slugs - that's where the fun is (IMHO).

Yep, they kick ass.  But, I've gotten hooked on trap, so now I'm probably going to get a nice O/U before I buy my next tactical shotgun.

When you had that SBS made, did they make the barrel able to still accept chokes?

Here is the one I won in the last AR15.com Team giveaway. I have added one of those pistol grip with buttstock assemblies. It shoots quite nice.

As far as the 3.5" rounds go, the Winchester Supreme Turkey Magnums will kick the snot out of you, but they work great.

Gotcha.  I don't know what made me think about it.  I started imagining the SG Slung and then I saw all the shells on your back.  All is clear now.

When I first got my 870 HD, I shot a few rounds of 00 buck 3" mags. That was all it took to convince me that it would suck to shoot it in a t-shirt or less! The gun is fairly light, and the recoil pad is too firm. I went with Federal Tactical (reduced recoil) just because I feel that the bad guys should feel more pain than me!
I'm a fairly big guy (6'1", 225 lbs) and the damn thing could literally lift my forward foot off the ground! Now, with a few accessoriess attached, it's a little better, but I still keep the LE ammo in it because I figure I'll probably not be wearing a jacket if I need to stop an intruder in the middle of the night.

M1S90 with ghost rings, 7 rd tube, sidesaddle, GG&G oversized bolt handle, surefire 6V, HK websling.

Got an Eagle 6 rd gunstock carrier coming, and I'm planning on talking to my 'smith about tapping and drilling to put a picatinny rail on so I can put my CompM on top.

The barrel is a factory Bennelli barrel, originally the barrel was not set up to accept chokes, but Benelli now make the M1 barrels that accept chokes.  To answer your question the barrel on that shotgun does not accept chokes.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I was under the impression that is was illegal to have a mag extension and pistol grip on a post ban shotgun?

If its a pump, its legal. Otherwise, you didn't see any of this.

You can even put flash supressors, pistol grips, bay lugs, and floding stocks on bpltactions.

The AW bans target Semi Auto's

With a post ban semi auto shot gun the mag tube can only hold 5 rounds per 922r.

Hi-Standard (or is it High Standard?) bullpup (10B?).

I had a buddy selling one, forgot what he was asking, and almost bought it until he told me how hard it was to find a mag extention.  I think it comes with a 3+1 tube and the extention is maybe a 5+1.

That's a little different than the models I have seen.  I haven't seen the model with the integrated tac-light housing.  The ones I have seen have the flashlight offset from the receiver.
