I am inquiring on the a quality flat-top upper to use for benchrest shooting. Have a BM lower and it is looking for a good mate.

Thanks,
Hawk

Hawk45, sound's like a Rock River Arm's upper will fill the bill for what you are looking for.

Take a look at what they have to offer. Their upper's hold many record's.

BTW welcome aboard.

Would you recommend the RRA standard flat-top or the high-rise?

The flat top would be my choice, the reason is you said this is for benchrest shooting. The closer the scope is to the centerline of the bore the better. Especially when trying to have all five shot's overlapping one another.

hawk45 - here's one you'll not be sorry you jumped on www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?id=95326

Have a familarity w/ 6 of these and all are 0.5 MOA shooters out to 800 yards w/ correct scoping and load.

Mike

PS - can't beat the price and can't believe someone here has pounced on this before now.

Upper looks like this:
