I have one of those "transitional" period ar15's- has birdcage flash suppressor, but no
bayonet lug. I was wanting to experiment with
the Levang muzzle brake. So I have a few questions/need advise:

1) is it worth the effort to take off the flash
suppressor? man, this thing looks like it is
threaded, but have had no luck in getting it
off- it's really on there. or maybe I am doing something wrong.

2) has anyone had experience with the Levang brake and what are your thoughts on it?

any advise will be greatly appreciated.
thanks
