That's Juggernaut's favorite shotgun EVER right there on the bottom-ignore the pistol gripped 870, I dunno how it got there, probably not mine after all anyhow, and if it was mine, it would already be reconfigured with the standard stock after that picture was taken. So there.
Seriously, the 11-87 Police is the best shotgun I have fired yet-It beats my mom's preban Benelli by a mile on recoil-very light recoil for a 12 gauge-though the Remington is a heavier gun, overall. It
is slower to cycle than the benelli though(gas vs. recoil operation)-but I wouldn't trade-I seriously doubt I can accurately acquire and fire faster than the 11-87 cycles-but that's me.
I also like the Matte finish, Ghost ring sights, the fact that the shotgun will cycle even if not crammed tight to my shoulder(take that, Benelli!) and the relibility I got from medium to heavy loads-though for reduced recoil loads, I would need to get the gas port opened up to improve the reliability-with the Benelli, it needs a new recoil plug to work with lighter loads-a trade off either way.
Personally, the fact that the Benelli won't cycle unless the the shotgun is held tight agains the shoulder was a turn off-what if I'm on the ground, or just in an akward position where I can't hug the gun tight? What if I lose some function in my right arm, and can't grip the gun as well? What if my load bearing gear or vest 'gives' too much for the recoil to be sufficient? Give me my 11-87P anyday for serious social shotgun work.
