Push the "button" in a downward motion. That should pop the thing open.

And don't try to open it with any frequency, or the locking tab will break off. These are designed for carrying things you'll only need very occasionally.

Where, exactly, does the tab break? There may be a way to reinforce it, prior to breakage, with epoxy and a thin metal rod or strip, to eliminate this.

Ahhhhh, I finally got it open, thanks guys, I thought it was spring-loaded, not molded plastic.
