What's black & white and red all over?  Skunkabilly's thumb :(

OK I heard about M1 thumb for the Garands, but it seems to take another meaning with the Benellis.

I have a new 2001 M1 Super 90 (it's probably made in the last year or so) and for the life of me I can't speeload the damn thing.

The magazine spring is tighter than hell and when the shell 'snaps' in to the magazine near the bolt release it's extremely tight.

I chew up my thumb EVERY time I try to load the damn thing.  What am I doing wrong?

Try 2 hands, one to hold the follower up and one to push in the shells! Seriously, push the shell up with your finger at an angle, that way your finger holds up the follower and pulls out from the side instead of hanging up on the inside lip of the follower. Works for me. The hardest thing is unloading the damned thing without chambering every round.
