Can anyone describe the cerakote colors black eclipse and jet black?
I tried google but that yielded no help.

Never heard of either color. Is it a custom mix?

I've used Jet Black numerous times. IMHO it comes out like a "matte black" but with slightly more sheen (not quite semi gloss though).  It's just BARELY less sheen than their "Glacier Black" (which is more of a semi gloss). The pics of jet black show flat black, but as said that's not been my experience. YMMV

My results with jet black have been truly flat black, slight gray tones. Very close to anodizing.

Sometimes you get a shiny batch of air cure. I have a pint of patriot brown I can't even use for this reason.
