I am geting ready to repaint my B&C stock from this:


To this:

I needed some suggestions on a few things:

1st, do I need to remove the base coat?
2nd do I need to tape up the bedding block?
3rd How did they get the pattern like that?

I'd rough up the base coat... and make sure it is oil free... don't fret if it isn't completely removed.

And yes, I would tape up the inside of the receiver if I were you.

Should I go with the od as a basecoat or the coyote as the base coat? Or would it even matter?

Good general rule is start with lightest color,  then go darker.

(Dark may show though the light... light won't show through the dark)

to get the same texture you need a can of krylon black webbing spray paint. add the webbing spray finish last and then clear coat with a matte or satin clear coat.

I gave up on the black webbing lol, I redid another stock trying to get it back to factory finish lol, spent months hunting it lol.... I hope it doesn't look like a 12 year old did it lol

looks great! webbing is not always easy to find. most times you have to get it ordered online and delivered.
