We do a lot of work with candy colors and metalics. If you simply sprayed the surface with a full auto paint it'll last but has a higher chance of flaking depending on just what type of paint you're using. Covering it with clear cerakote will make it a moderately thick finish. Could be too much for a 1911. What color was he looking to use? |

Is it possible to mask when spraying cerakote? Mask the frame rails etc?
