Recently my department has provided aid for two lost children. I would like to see about getting a FLIR type device other than what we use for structual firefighting because those have limited range .We have the ability to purchase units from the state at very discounted prices that are surplus. Can anyone suggest a portable thermal unit that the military has used and maybe an NSN so I have somewhere to start. Battery life , ease of use and portability are big factors . Pros and cons to keep it simple
