I have a blem tube with an emission point in it. I got the tube cheap with full disclosure as the emission point disappears under IR illumination or higher light conditions and goes away with the image when the tube is powered down. I have recently been reading about treating emission points with lasers and wondered if this tube would be a candidate.

Tube is about a 10 year old 10160.

Same tube with IR on. Housing rotated so blem is bottom left instead of bottom right.

I would just ride it out until it dies or you decide to upgrade. It looks like there are no issues until you are in a high light area. I'm pretty sure getting it fixed would leave a black blemish right where your emission point is.

Thats a pretty good sized EP. Have you noticed it getting larger over time? Also do you see any dark spots on the output screen in the location of the EP when the tube isnt being powered on?

past threads for you

if it disappears under bright light conditions, it doesn't sound like it is a problem.

the company listed web site doesn't seem to appear anymore but the company still appears incorporated, guy probably consults under that name

No larger so far. Had the tube for about 3 months and have only put about 2 hours on it though. It is not my primary device and I use it as a loaner/ secondary unit. When I look at the output side I can see it as a small black spec when the unit is powered off.

Best I can do with no macro lens. Bottom left.
