While others are just hearing about it, we already got ours bloody! The new FLIR ThermoSight Pro PTS233 19mm 12um Boson Thermal Weapon Sight has just been released. NGI Director, Tom Austin, killed the FIRST EVER coyotes with this impressive new unit last week. With a price point at $2199, these new FLIR's will be hard to beat.

Thanks. Hopefully I'll be in the market this time next year (or before). That price point (assuming good resolution) is VERY appealing.

Very cool unit, thanks for showing off what it can do. Looking forward to see what the 640s can offer and industry guys- please pass on that there is a market for a AA battery variant due to this new generations better battery efficiency. You want folks to upgrade to the new tech that would be a huge feature to push them as that would keep supply work simpler and the sacrifice in battery life is not as bad as past generations of thermal tech.

With all due respect, curiosity is killing me Bro. Why buy from Optics Planet instead of us? Exact same price for the same unit. We've had a PO in with FLIR for a week or so now so we'll be getting them the same time OP does, if not sooner. No one at OP has seen one of these units let alone used one in the field. They can't give you any technical info yet, let alone personal experience from a subject matter expert. In fact, they don't even have pics of this unit on their website yet so, what gives? Why are we losing your business to them?

It's 1979.10 at Optics Planet using their site-wide coupon. And free return shipping if, for literally any reason, he decides he does not wish to keep it.

$219 isn't enough to give me a warm fuzzy feeling about dealing with a drop-ship, no-nothing company like OP, but there are just some shoppers who are chasing the mighty bottom dollar.

I still feel like shit for my mistake. It is a piss poor consolation, but I still need to buy their External Battery. I looked on NGI's website and did not find one. I am in no hurry to buy so if they do get some of these, I would appreciate the opportunity to buy from them.

FLIR doesn't offer an external battery pack for these new units. They ditched the old 9 pin connector and went with a USB C. It's gonna be a while. Sorry.

I know I'm good for one, and I know who I'm ordering it from.

From what we've been shown here, it's clear this is thermal finally making it's arrival on the same sort of price plane as I^2. At least half the year I can hop in the truck and go shoot at night any day of the week I want, so this is pretty exciting.
