Just canceled my order from optics planet. Found a place that has 1 left after my order. Boss Firearms out of college station texas has it. You have to call as its not on there web site. If you have a gun broker account, its on there. Good luck.

Mine was delivered the other day, just got a chance to play with it last night.
Still trying to find my way around, but so far so good. Looks great for the money. Walked down my street with it to see what I could see with it and it performed well. ID’d a couple of critters with it, watched the dog go to the bathroom, followed my kids' footsteps down the hall carpet, looked for some cold leaks...just general messing around. It performed very well and I was impressed. The color palettes were cool. Though white hot was what I used most. Reticles seemed perfectly useable/serviceable. Range looked good, but the only animals I saw were cats at ~75 yards, so I can’t really say for sure I’m happy with it! |

Good to hear. Mine comes in wednesday. All the research I did led me to the Flir for what I wanted in my 1st thermal. But If I had the money, found a place that had the 536 in stock that would have been better. By end of year some of the new thermals should go down in price a bit.

We have more PTS233 units coming in 2 weeks. We also have some very cool video coming with the PTS 536 and 736 AND Breach units.

Got my 233 in and played with it last night. In white hot mode, woody stuff like trees and branches show up more than I'd expect so the image is really bright and washed out with poor resolution in general. May have to find better settings. In Outdoor Preset Settings mode.
The Outdoor Alert palette diminished the brightness quite a bit, and I spotted a rabbit easily. No identity resolution to rabbit, even at 20' or so, just a hot blob. Wasn't sure it was a critter until it turned and hopped away. |

To the guy having trouble....... not sure what your looking at exactly, but you’ll need to adjust settings . Every night is different. Different humidity, which is thermal killer. Different temp differential during day . All of these things add up . Use contrast , brightness ect to adjust until you get image you like best , on that night . But you do have to keep in mind, it’s not a $9000 unit with a great big lens . You’ll never get that same image quality. Period .there is always a chance something is wrong with it, but usually it’s user setting, or lack there of that affect image quality for whatever that particular model may be . Keep adjusting it. Put some pictures up if you can.

Just noticed you’re in TX. What part? Might could bring it over and I could help. If your interested

If you are new to using thermal scopes at night there is a distinct learning curve to using them. Practice practice practice for about six months under all kinds of varying climate conditions. Pay attention to using it at specific known ranges at various times over and over again until you become more proficient with experience.

We’re 120 miles south of downtown dfw. We go out 3-4 nights a week . Welcome to come down and hunt. Will look at it. Maybe I can help you set it up . On off chance something wrong with it, I’ve got plenty of extra you can borrow for the night

I've seen a noticeable improvement between very high humidity and lower humidity, so there is hope!

What are the current options for mounting the breach to a helmet? If I already have a PVS14 with a bayonet mount, is there mounting option that would interchange with this, or are there only proprietary mounts?
|
|
We have dovetail and bayonet style adapters for the Breach we will be offering as well that will fit Wilcox G24's and standard Bayonet style helmet mounts (G11, etc). Those will be on the web site shortly.

1/2 Dozen Breach units arrived. 1 left and next batch due in a couple of weeks we're told. A few pics of the simple helmet mount solutions for folks who want to roll that way. Wilcox dual mounts and our newest RQE solutions will cost ya $800+ to play with duals of NV and thermal but they will NOT fuse like you think...More on that later. For now enjoy the newest pics and I can try to answer any Breach questions. I am pretty stoked these FINALLY released, been waiting awhile since the original pics on Pg. 1. Resolution still looks spot on like the units I worked with earlier in the year. This unit will be the lightest hand held spotter out there and also a great tool not only for the hunter but the Rural LEO's tool box. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/19096/20180221_143008_resized-459941.jpg https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/19096/20180221_141606_resized-459942.jpg https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/19096/20180221_140019_resized-459939.jpg https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/19096/20180221_143235_resized-459940.jpg View Quote |

I'm not asking for fusion. What I would like to know is if it's feasible to run a PTQ136 on the right-eye side of my helmet, with the PVS-14 on my left. I want to walk around with only the PVS-14 most of the night. When I get to a clearing and need to scan a field or pursue a warm object, I want to pop the thermal down over my right eye.
Can this be accomplished? What hardware is needed? |
|
One left? Like one left to order or one that you guys will be playing with.
I’d be surprised if there was one actually available. |

I have a Wilcox g24...what's the quickest way for me to get this head mounted? Is there a cheaper arm option to get from the rail/mount on the breach to the dovetail on the Wilcox.
Edit: nevermind, I see you said you will have options up shortly...sounds like there will be option for Wilcox dovetail, nice. |
|
Armasight has a dovetail (Wilcox style) to mum dovetail arm for just over $100 shipped. I believe that is what is in the TNVC picture above. I just bought one for an older Q14.
Here you goswing arm |

Give Jaimie a call tomorrow if you need it even though it's not on the site yet. |

How do we get the free battery pack? I have the pts233 in my cart but the battery pack is not showing up.
