questions about the 640…
how much more expensive will it likely be? ETA on 640? any examples of boson 640 in other platforms? |

View Quote I want to know if this Boson core is in any clip-on devices that I can attach to the objective lens of a Vortex Razor HD 1-6, like people do with the Pulsar units. The Pulsar green looks less attractive to me than this Flir technology. |

questions about the 640… how much more expensive will it likely be? Not going to speculate as FLIR has kept the final prices close hold. ETA on 640? FLIR announced early this year with an official statement that the 640 Boson's would not be released until 1st Qtr 2018. any examples of boson 640 in other platforms? I have looked through one 640 Boson, but was not allowed to publish pics during my visit. Let's just say it rivaled the Trijicon units... . View Quote |

I asked about an update on the breach unit in this thread in Aug & Oct.
Neither got responses. I'd guess we're easily into 2018 before that unit ships. |
|
Never got a response as FLIR has not stated anytbing official except it's still slated for a 2017 release. We shall see.

How will the process for mounts work with the breach unit?
Is that something universal or proprietary? I'm particularly interested in a dovetail option that will work with INVG. Will that be something they provide or at additional cost? (from past history best guess?) @TNVC |
|
I pre-ordered one and really just want to know if the Q14B, or whatever they're calling it, is actually going to be released or if racking up the interest on my credit card bill is going too be worth it.

View Quote You should not be accruing any interest hopefully. I've had my order in since June mate. Pays to be patient, but I'm also ready for delivery. Hope it's worth it. |

That would be nice The Night Vision Guys got me with their Black Friday deals, and it's already cleared on my card.

Still no word on the Breach (formerly the Q14B) release dates. Will have a product status soon.

So FLIR is re-introducing the Breach at Shot show and showing a new press release and Vid.

Looks like they’ve got the PTS 536 and PTS 736 at SHOT as well. Found on the FLIR live story on Instagram.
Looks like the website is updated for them as well |

One of the FLIR Reps talking about Breach and the rest of the PTS line along with our new Battery Pack for the PTS233. This new battery pack will be included free with each PTS purchase from TNVC and NGI.

I managed to source one of these the other day. Can anybody tell me if there is a firmware or software update available? I looked on the FLIR site where the directions said it should be and couldn't find anything.
Tomorrow I plan to sight this in on a SBR 300 BLK primarily for use with supers (110 and 125 proably) but may try one of the other saved positions for subs later on. For those of you using this optic for pigs, what distance do you zero at? 50 yards is what I was thinking. Any help on this would be appreciated. |
|
No Firmware patch specifically for the PTS233 that I have seen as yet.
|
|
Wish Flir would get moving on making these. Been waiting 3 weeks now but yeah I know, 6-8 weeks. Think they would ramp up production with the next 2 coming out to fill orders.

110 factory vmax for now to see how they handle. Have a trainload of amax 110s to reload later on.
My setup is the AAC upper with I think 8-9 inch barrel. Any ideas on the height above the bore with the ADM mount? Also what should I use for target size for a hog? 2-3 inches or less? I’ve been playing with 2100 FPS, 2.5 inches and 2 inch target so that puts me at about 40 yards for a 4 inch POI from about 20-150 yards. That sound about right to you guys? Be careful to aim a little high if super close and then pretty much dead nuts for further out? |
