What counterweight pouch is that?  Will it fit a 20 or 30 round AR mag?

Question for ya'll before I gather my funds and pull the trigger on a purchase, but will a Adams Industries Surface ANVIS Mount work with an EXFIL carbon fiber bump helmet? If yes, what helmet style do I need to select? I'm assuming the Ops Core FAST/ Crye AirFrame option off of TNVC is the one I want? Wanted to ask here first.

IIRC, the angle of the TWs are closer to that of the ACH/MICH than the steeper Ops-Core/Crye geometry, so you'd probably be better off with the ACH/MICH spacer.

That being said, I still use the same USGI adapters on both my MICH and Ops-Core, and have enough tilt adjustment to use both, though I do have to adjust them slightly differently.

I have an Adams ANVIS mount and battery pack along with a TNVC Mohawk type 2 that is just sitting on the parts bench.  I would be more than willing to part with it for a fellow ARFCOM'er.

Just got my MTEK FLUX Ballistic helmet in last night. Threw everything on it and now the fun of tinkering with everything begins (first thing up is wire routing). Hopefully my sentinels arrive by fall. My first impression was with how lightweight this helmet is, it is pretty impressive.

Everything in the pictures:

MTEK FLUX Ballistic Helmet in size 2
TNVC Mohawk
Peltor Comtac 3 Dual Coms
Unity Tactical MARK
Unity Tactical Remora
Princeton Tec Switch - Red and White
CORE Survival HEL-STAR 6® Strobe - Green-Red-IR
Assorted custom IR patches

About to pull the plug on a TNVC pvs 14, but can't decide if I should pay extra for the mount kit.

Entire Weapon Kit + Standard Issue ACH/MICH Shroud w/ Ratchet Strap, USGI Rhino Mount Arm

Eventually plan on building a helmet, but havn't researched the components yet. Except looking at the picturess
in this thread.

Now to the question.

Are the standard issue components offered in the kit a good place to start, or am I better off doing some research on other components before building the helmet?

Skip the old Rhino/ratchet, Rhino IIs are cheap and are a big step up, many other options too. Do some browsing in this and other threads here while you wait.

Yep, I bought this used contractor set off Apex a couple years ago and it is
still going strong, my friends gen 3 PVS-14s have a bit bigger eyepiece
and a bit more crisp but my unit is still awesome. Ive killed a few
rabbits under them so I think they work! I've been saving up for an
Autogated Gen 3 PVS-14 and plan on selling my brother my Gen 2 so we can
shoot together. The only thing I don't like about the ATN is it inst
the same body style as PVS-14s so some accessory's wont work.

Loving it so far, the IR laser is unrestricted and great, the highest setting provides a little bit of light bloom on the target which is nice but I usually stick to one of the lower settings for a more precise dot. The controls are easy with 2 activating buttons, 1 on top and 1 on the back, the brightness is a adjusted with the 2 buttons on the left of the unit and there is a pressure switch port at the rear and next to that is a small dim led that will light up when the unit is being activated
(holding the button or pressure switch down is momentary use, 1 quick  tap will go to constant on with another tap will turn it off, 2 quick taps will do a slow pulse mode (useful when you have more than 1
shooter)) .The slaved red laser is OK but not that bright, it does its job fine as far as zeroing the IR laser. Zeroing was easy and I'm having one of my friends try to make a custom parallel aiming target like what is included with the PEQ lasers so I dont have to zero it at a random range. I'm not a big fan of the rubber caps over the adjustment points as if you take both of them off the whole rubber unit will pop off, I'm hoping to have a friend make me some custom metal caps to replace
them(the older version of the laser came with metal caps). Not having an integrated IR light kinda sucks but thats what the M600V is for (had an M952V before that) but with the laser pressure switch over the Surefire
pressure switch I can activate both at the same time. I plan on ordering some M5 3 Pin connectors (connector size for the Perst) so I can make my own dual switch by splicing into the Surefire pressure switch so I can activate both at the same time more reliably.

PT2 (had to split up due to new use length)
I purchased mine used off Armslist for $400 but they retail new for  $475ish, I have 2 friends with the Perst-4s as well, however one  just sent his back to Akstuff.com because the red laser was not  activating, not sure what is causing that but if akstuff.com can't fix it or replace I assume Zentico will be able to as they will warranty the units.  Overall I love the unit and dont think I will purchase another IR laser besides these due to the cost of a PEQ and the unrestricted part is just awesome, can see miles with it (not that Ill ever hit something a few miles out while under nod).

I vote skip the mount kit. The Rhino II is way better and can be had dirt cheap on FleaBay. That's what I did and I never looked back.

Alright, I have two helmets running dual PVS-14's on an ACH and a PVS-7 on a MICH. I need a nice pad system for them and am looking for ideas. The ACH has a Team Trader Z system in it and the MICH has some advance pads. Tired of the internal setups, please HELP!

You wouldn't get a better answer than this if the clouds parted and God himself spoke to you about it.

Get. Those. Pads. Mine felt awesome and actually got better after they wore in after a time or two. I've got the same setup. Duals. Heavy. These pads made it so I could go for hours comfortably where as I'd start to get annoyed within minutes with the stock pads.

They aren't fake from what I can tell.  I had received some extra pads straight from 4d systems since I needed smaller ones to help my helmet fit my dome better and they are the exact same pads as the ones received from ebay guy.

Lol, Doh!  Yup. I'm not really complaint, there are enough pads in there with the way I set mine up to do two helmets!

One think iscfor sure, those things are undisputed, undefeated world heavyweight champs in comfort.

Seriously people end up telling me to shut up about them after I get going lol. I'm just blown away that my helmet went from "I hate wearing this almost instantly" to "I can wear this all night".

Not to mention pressure on my upper forehead gives me headaches. These pads completely eliminate that.

Anyone out there on the fence don't be. By them. In fact I now consider them must have gear anytime I get a new helmet.

It's custom, it would probably fit a 20rd mag in if I let the side retention cords out but not with it being pulled into the curve of the helmet.

Very nice!

Question though, how did you install your surefire light over the ear muffs mount? Or are the ear muffs still on their band and just run underneath the helmet?

The band runs under the helmet. I made a dovetail rail for the surefire light to screw directly to. Hope this helps.
