As to not start a new thread I'll ask this here. I just logged on and the window on the left (MY FORMS) under that it showed info about my form (Draft & Submitted/in progress). Now it just says no saved forms. Anyone seen this?

For anyone tracking the control #'s
SUBMITTED/IN PROCESS Permit/Control No: 20192371X Your Reference No: Submission Date: 2018-10-28-04:00 Form ID: ATF Form 1 (5320.1) - Application to Make and Register a Firearm |

Anyone cancel their paper form 1 and submit an eform yet? I submitted in mid Sept. but I think I will cancel the paper application and send in an eform. Hopefully it will be faster.
However since the LEO was already was notified do I need to notify them again? One issue that could delay my eform is I would like to SBR a CZ 512 and its not on the drop down list so my copy of the eform to the LEO will say "Draft" and not Submitted as the ATF needs to do more research. |

Gents,
Does anyone know if I'm GTG to submit my Prints when my PDF File / cover letter does Not show a control number? There is a bar code. I filed two F1's for SBR's using my NFA Trust. Both of the submissions had the "pending research" on the weapon type. Anyone else have this issue? My Application that I printed out also is labeled "Draft" across each page. |

View Quote I logged into my eForms account and actually "asked the Expert". I received an extremely fast response, and here it is. "Good Afternoon, I am assuming you landed in pending research status. If so, do not send them until you get a new cover letter emailed to you once we release you from pending research. Your new email will say that you are in “Submitted/In Process” status and a new cover letter will be attached." Heather N. Go back to your forms and figure out why it is showing Pending/Research. I did and found that the Yes/No questions that I answered didn't get saved.
|
|
I also got an email from Heather. She stated not to send fingerprints until research was completed.
I got a 2nd cover letter today with a control number and barcode and status changed to submitted. So if you don’t get a control number and get a “pending research” status you will need to wait until you get a second email with a control number before sending in the fingerprints. |

View Quote edit.....Man now that I think about it my draft F1 was blank on those ?’s. I’m using a Mac as my desktop. I wonder if that’s the issue with their system? |
|
I was able to edit the form. After fixing the Yes/No questions, I hit the next button for each following page until it got to the last. Checking things didn't get changed along the way. At the end, it told me it didn't find any errors and I hit submit application again.
I was using Win 10 and had that issue, so who knows. After figuring out I could put my Win 7 machine in Compatibility Mode to get the site to load correctly, I made corrections on that computer. |

I have the FD-258 fingerprint cards. Do I need to have an LEO do the fingerprinting or can I do it myself?
Thanks. |

I read that you have to submit the cover sheet and FP cards within 10 days? Anyone know if it’s alright to submit them beyond that? Or should I just submit another eform 1?
|
|
What would keep you from getting the prints done? If you can't get them within the 10 days, I wouldn't submit the form.
|
|
|
I don't know what would happen, but I'd call around and see if you can find someone with the cards. Ie, sheriff, gun stores or postal employees (I hear they still have to go through the BGC for their government issued Uzis).
|
|
I’ll probably do that. I also used the ask the expert to send a message and see what they want me to do.

Those of you that have gotten approved, How did you find out first? Can you tell by looking at your submission on the E-file site or get an email or actually get your stamp in the mail?

So are people able to get there form 1's approved and call about their form 4 submitted months ago and get faster approvals? or is that a myth?

And the approved form (with a digital stamp) is attached to the email. Nothing is coming in the mail. You won't get your actual $200 stamp like you do on a paper form. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I’m interested in buying a factory SBR, should I wait for efile form 4 to become available? Or just paper file now?

I’m interested in buying a factory SBR, should I wait for efile form 4 to become available? Or just paper file now? Problem is, ATF must have their server running off an ancient laptop or something. Every time I’ve tried using the system it’s ridiculously slow. I don’t imagine that would get any better once Form 4s are added back in. |

Quoted:
Adding Form 4’s would probably overwhelm it as the buying frenzy hit. Already started to happen with Form 1s. Judging by the change in control numbers posted in the GD thread, it looked like they were getting over 1k per day. Not enough to bring the system down, but that’s a lot of Form 1s. View Quote |

And you're assuming the list of control numbers is unique to F1s (and I don't know if they are or not). But there are a lot of other forms that have been available in EForms for awhile, and if the CN is simply assigned in numerical order for all forms, that drastically changes the estimate of F1s that have been submitted.
