In March of this year I got a gun trust and sent in a form 1 to SBR my CZ scorpion. Since I wasn't buying anything from a dealer, I had to fill out the paperwork without any "professional" help. I am still waiting on that stamp. Recently I bought a silencer from silencershop using the same trust. I sent them pictures and fingerprints of both me and my wife. (just like I did on the form 1) When they looked at my trust, silencershop told me that they didn't actually need the pictures and fingerprints on my wife since she wasn't named as a trustee, she's just listed on the trust so that if something happens to me, she gets the NFA items. SO it seems that with my original form 1 I sent the ATF fingerprints, a picture, and a responsible person form on my wife and I didn't actually need to. My question is, should I contact the ATF and let them know about this or just let them figure it out and see how the cards fall? obviously I don't want to to anything that's going to make it take even longer to get my form 1 stamp back.

1. punctuate and structure your sentences.

2. If wife is not an RP and is just the beneficiary of the trust, the no RP paperwork was needed for her - and still is not needed

3. If NFA Branch wants clarifications, they'll let you know. Don't preempt when you're clearly not that clear on what's going on yourself. Play the dumb applicant and let the ATF experts guide you, if it turns out you need it.

ok first don't be an ass. what are you an English teacher? my description says "rookie NFA questions". that means I'm not the expert that you seem to think you are.  by the way I still didn't punctuate my sentences. anyone who can actually help with my question without being condescending and a know it all would be appreciated.

FPNI and I think he was trying to be helpful. If you want people to answer your questions, they’ve got to be able to read them without getting a headache.

Welcome.
