Wednesday will be day 300 for me.
To make matters worse, I sent it out on July 2nd 2017 and they didn't cash the check until Aug. 24, a day after I called them and asked wtf? They told me they hadn't received it. Yet, the very next day it magically appeared and got cashed. So, technically, you could add another 52 days to that 300. |

Two months later after approval, still no stamp.
I've had like seven form 4s and three form 1s approved so far with no muss and no fuss. This one right here is a major buzzkill on my NFA experience thus far.

This is sorta a complaint, even though I shouldn’t. I’m anxious. Form 4 individual
Mailed 1/20/18 Pending 1/28/18?(Who really knows) Called yesterday and the lady said I have at least 8 months. I said you mean 8 months total and she replied no sir you have about 8 more months from today (6/26/18). She just said Recieved Form 4, 1/28/18 not a pending date or Nottin!!!!! |

This whole process is so archaic that its borderline criminal.
There is absolutely zero reason for this. The NFA branch brought in roughly $68 Million in taxes in 2016. Sixty Eight fucking million, and we can't even get a form processed in a reasonable amount of time. Every year that goes up, and every year they still fail to take serious effort to move into the 21st century with processing NFA forms and taxes. |

Currently my Estimates say about 31 weeks, 215 days. So sent 1-20-2018 with about 31 weeks waiting says about August 20.

Had a guy on a local forum post this today:
Spoke with my examiner this morning... let me tell you they are just as frustrated as we are at this point. She explained that my background was not an instant-pass for whatever reason (I have a perfect record) and that the FBI was currently processing background checks that were initiated in February, mine was initiated in May. It is what it is at this point and there was nothing she could do to expedite the process, she did mention if I had a stamp that was approved within 30 days she could apply that background status to any additional pending stamps. Apparently the recent push in Form 1's has to do with their efforts to get e-file back online. She said it's close. Sucks but nice to at least get some clarity on the situation. No additional details on the 30-day deal...to know if it's automatic or if you'd have to call and point out the fact you had one approved recently. And that's the first I've heard of anybody there mentioning eforms coming back. I know it was mentioned when 41F went into effect, but that's the last I heard. |

Small complaint.
Had my 2 PBS-1 bought from Bunker tactical sent to my local FFL. Told the guy last week they would be delivered today and provided him with tracking. Sent another message to him on Saturday that the delivery would be Monday and got a auto response back saying they will be closed for the week of the forth. So wondering if Fedex will hold the suppressors or if they will send them back to Bunker. No human response back from the owner of the local FFL. Kinda pissed. Also called and checked status of F4 MG and its still pending. Purchase date was Nov 20 17, check cash date was 1/23/18. Had high hopes that it might had been approved for my interdependence day present. |

My Dec 16th 2017 pending has now been in "waiting on FBI background check" for about 2 weeks now... Here we go with a long ass wait some more. I have a petty offense / misdemeanor from 10 years ago, but never get delayed or denied on firearms purchases, have other NFA items, and have a security clearance, but nooooo lets throw in some more bullshit wait because the gov is inefficient. I should have just bought all the suppressors I'd ever wanted last year and been done with it. Waiting months to a year for a right is nonsense. |

I sent in a Form 4 Individual last year (2017) and got it back in 162 days. I sent another Form 4 Individual in on March 5, 2018 and had my hopes up for a quick T/A again, until I read this thread. It now seems that Form 4's are a complete crap shoot regarding T/A, with no rhyme or reason. I've seen 150 days to 300 and counting. I've got 3 to submit this month for suppressors and feel pretty hopeless about when I'll actually get to see them again. This whole system blows. Form 1s seem to be trending down and Form 4s are black hole.

Not really a complaint but more of a curiosity.
I submitted 3 form 1's in April 2018 with the following dates as check cashed: 4/24, sent to an examiner on 7/19 but still not assigned to one yet as of 8/5. 5/2, approved 7/24, rec'd stamp 7/31 5/10, approved 7/27, rec'd stamp 8/3 All sent in via USPS with paper F1, same trust, 1 RP. Curious how my first F1 still hasn't been assigned to an examiner yet but the other two has already been approved with stamp in hand. |

Some posters stated that they filed using the Silencer Co kiosk and also posted the date the check was cashed. If you are doing everything via Silencer Does Silencer Co provide you with that info? Edited to say: I said Silencer Co, I meant Silencer Shop. |
