The question is does anybody have a "Steyr Mannlicher 8x56R Carbine?"

I was thinking about buying one once my C&R license comes through. I probably should buy a Mauser or another Mosin instead, but these old Steyr's seem pretty cool. Ammo is pretty cheap for them.

AIM has them for $90 bucks delivered. So whaddaya think?

I've been looking at those too. I love straight-pull bolt actions. The only problem I've seen with them is the lack of ammo. Only place that sells new ammo/brass for them is Old Western Scrounger.

Now I just wrote all that to give you a BTT. lol.

Yeah Century has some ammo, but I misread the quantity. I thought it was 50 rounds for 2 bucks. It's just 10. I think I'll go with an 8mm shooter instead.

There cool lookin rifles and the ammo is cheap BUT... The thing kicks like a mule " much worse than a M44 " and is loud ! the available ammo is very HOT and I had alot of stuck cases and extraction problems with the 2 I had. Overall a very unpleasent rifle to shoot......
