I bought the Butler Creek but haven't installed it yet. I haven't shot my 10/22 much until lately.

imo the volquartsen contours real well to the trigger guard and just feels right when dropping the mag.

+1

Once you get used to it, the stock release seems like torture.

Having the BC one & the volquartsen one my vote is the volquartsen much smoother feel

I prefer the Power Custom version, it also looks great with the PC bolt release.

Make your own with a 10 cent pin

Yep, like rimfireguru said, make your own. I made mine out of the factory bolt stop (After replacing with a bolt buffer) and drilling the factory magazine release with a 1/4" drill. Put a little JB weld on the pin, slide it in and you made an extended magazine release! I rounded off the end of mine and polished it first. Hey rimfireguru, I have one of those Tennesee Precision triggers too!

how does the ten.prec. trigger feel over the stock? wanted to get one for my spare trigger guard.

Thanks! I've been wondering what to do with my old bolt stop...

1 question: How deep do I drill the 1/4" hole? Would it be OK to drill all the way through? Or should I just go part way? Thanks

To answer two questions; Yes, I drilled all the way through. The Tennessee Presicion trigger has an overtravel screw, combine with a Volquartzen hammer and you will have a very nice trigger.

I've got one in one of my 10/22s and real don't like it because it is to easy to accidentally hit it and drop the mag. I wouldn't use one in a hunting rifle.

Aside the overtravel screw aftermarket triggers are cosmetic.

It's the guts that count. I still love it

It's a sin there's not more being made due to the fact the guy who makes them's a two faced lying fuckstick.

I have a Clark on mine and I like it alot. Activate it with your thumb and the mag falls right into your palm.

I had a Ram-Line mag release on my last 10/22, and a Bell & Carlson on my current one. The latter makes changing mags very easy, but it also sticks out a lot more.

I don't think you would go very wrong with either. Anything would be an improvement over the factory mag release.
