What's a good scope and mount for a 10/22? I have a regular stainless 10/22 that I bought years ago and have not shot much. The simmons I have on it is junk. I red dot or lower power scope would be the trick, I think.

i had the same simmons scope on my stainless 10/22.  got rid of it and the lousy ruger mount and got a power custom mount (midway had them on sale for like $10).  then i got a helluva deal on an ultradot microdot 2x7x32 ($64 on ebay!).  it is the best of both worlds...reddot and cross-hair magnification.   i love it!
if you just want a reddot...try the ultradot.  they were the original.  imho, unless you want to pay megabucks, they are still the best.
