im looking for a wood stock for a 10/22 that i put on lawaway at wally world. i dont really like the looks of the funky "blaster" stock and i dont like the price either. i am thinking about getting the butler creek bull barrel and synthetic stock combo from sportsmansguide but id really like to have a stock that looks like the synthetic one but in wood. anybody know where i can get one?
thanks

I've got a factory wood 10/22 stock (fits standard bbl) that I'd give you if you wanted to pick it up. Few nicks, but otherwise nice shape. Its even got the action screw and bbl band in it. You could port the stock for use with a .920 bbl with a chisel and some sandpaper, then bed it.

those are some beautiful stocks on that link!

however i went the cheap route, i found a wood stock on sportsmansguide for the hvy brl for 62 dollars, i went ahead and ordered that and a .920 bull barrel and a cheap BSA scope and rings. i will definitly upgrade the scope as soon as i have the money. i think that the stock looks like a slightly better version of the factory stock for the stainless 10/22. (i'm getting the cheapest carbine model) it looked OK, if it isnt i'll upgrade that later too.
this is cool i don't even have the gun yet and i already have the upgrades. i probably wont even shoot it untill i install the barrel and stock. hopefully i can sell the original parts on ebay.

anybody any details about this stock?
