Here's an idea I screwed around with for a while.
HSGI AO chest rig Blue Force Gear 10 Speed, 3 magazine AR pouch Blue Force Gear 10 Speed, extended pistol magazine pouch The Baofeng UV5R radio (long battery) fits the magazine pouch like it was made for it. You can't really get it in there with a speaker mic attached. I don't think you can get much thinner / lower profile. It hides pretty well under a light jacket or heavy weight shirt. If you modified the chest rig to lose some of the buckles, it would be even lower profile. I just never got around to it. The 10 speed pouches stretch out over time, making their service life somewhat limited.  |

The rig is only 8 columns wide. I guess it depends on your pouch. I think an HSGI bleeder would fit there. I have also tried this with a 10 speed two cell instead of three, and that gives you 2 columns on each side. I was just trying to make it as low profile as possible. |

One of the things I like about the Haileymicro-rig is the ability to change out the inserts and switch it from 5.56 to 7.62.
 Attached FileI’ve been training with more 7.62 lately and swapping inserts is fairly easy and convenient. All of the micro-rigs I have can be snapped onto my Slickster if needed but I rarely use them that way. I think all of the talking points have been hit in this thread. I’ll just plus one that I like micro rigs and they meet all of my needs. I’ve been using them exclusively the last few years in all my training sessions.  Attached FileThey hold up to abuse well. This mini Ifak pouch is GTG. It will fit a 4" oales flat, chest seals, gloves, two packs of gauze, shears, and a CATS tq, with only taking up two rolls of molle. |
