Interesting.  Don't shoot scoped (or red dots) as much as I used to but I know that was a problem shooting iron sights on a M16.

Good job!

Nice.  When will these be in?  Cost?  Are those the one size fits all elastic band?

I love my Z-hats but the brim is too long for rifle.  I usually have to turn my hat backwards to shoot rifle.

Get one in OD green and it would look like Radar from MASH.

Wow that is sweet. I don't normally wear hats, but it is a necessity when shooting.

Definitely keep us posted.

thats why patrol caps are better than ball caps.  the older short billed boonie hats are even better.  those kinda look like umpire hats.

I like the old style regular old baseball caps, not the low profile crap like the ones you can buy these days

Try a Boonie hat

I like short brimmed hats for when I am bow hunting, but I ask cut mine down and fold the fabric over and tape it.  Theses look much better I would like to see a OD Green one when it is done.

The photos look like the caps that baseball umpires wear, although the brim looks a bit longer.  Your design looks like a good alternative to someone who doesn't want to wear boonie hat or something similar.

It's no good for me and my ginormous size 8-1/4 melon, though.  I have to get the caps from Gempler's made for people whose heads draw small planetoids into their orbits.

So ... now that you have solved the cap problem, let's get some electronic earmuffs that everyone can use with long guns (especially from prone) without the stock bumping into them.  Commence to solving the problem!

aesthetically I don't like it, but it clearly works. I still like boonies for doing this job, cuz I can just roll the brim up out of the way to the desired degree. A lot of people aren't gonna like my solution, though, so I would bet your hat idea will catch on. Try adding some soft side Velcro to that bad boy.

I like the idea but I have one suggestion. Remove the button from the top. The only thing I hate about hats is that button gets rammed into my skull by my hearing protection.

If you remove that, you have a perfect hat.

you can remove that button from any hat.  just pop it off with a knife, a rivet like on a pair of jeans will remain.

No Disrespect, but "Profile Tactical" them are just 2 words that dont go together

I gots me a shavin profile sarge, ya know da black man get da bumps

Excuse me Sgt, but I have a profile against running, jumping, wearing webgear or helmet and shooting a rifle

Profiles against going to the field.  One girl in my unit was "Alergic to North Carolina"

Angus was the first thing I thought of when I saw it.   Good idea for a specific application though.
