Are these going out with the issues that the standard 870 expresses have been having?
Or as a hot new product are the getting special QC attention? |

That's the Wilson Combat +1 with sling swivel in it. I had one with a side sling opening but realized this isn't a gun that gets a sling.
Please note, I made from a Pistol grip 870 and the Birdshead grip before the TAC-14 was launched. I cut the barrel down myself (cold blued the cut) so it's a little longer that a TAC-14 factory barrel. |

This thread just cost me some $$ to buy one of these damn things.

Got my first part in awhile ago for mine.
My Wilson +1 came in today. The only other things I am planning is changing the forend for an 870p forend. Also going to replace the MIM extractor with the 870p part. That will be all for me as I am a believer in the KISS principle. I am working on a new method to remove the dimples also. Will post the results later on this weekend. |

It looks like the sling slot sits far enough forward to not interfere with a magul forend. Any way you could measure the distance from the barrel ring to the sling mount? It would be a huge help.

Hello all,
I just finished swaging the magazine tube on my tac 14. I get my +1 extension tomorrow. My question to yall, is do you all reuse the magazine interlocking plug at the end of the spring with these +1 extensions? If not, how do the +1 extensions keep the magazine nut/magazine end cap from backing out, which would end up causing the weapon to malfunction? |
View Quote It looks like that could be tough. Can you elaborate on the process? |

Any one here ever use teflon tape on the magazine tube threads so that the +1 extensions dont back off? Ill probably try that in the meantime before I do the detent mod to the barrel ring.
I think that's a great idea. I recently
learned that trick to keep thread protectors in place, so I don't see why it work for this, as well. John Quoted:

@shack357 the finish will wear off on the Tac14 it already has on mine. If your a righty it will wear on the left side of the barrel from the pressure of your left hand on that side.

Can you install the Pachmayr 870 pistol grip and still be legal?
Ordered mine today.
Scrounged a laminate stock set, Breacher choke and +1 extension from the parts bin. Friend and I will cut and shape the stock to make 26.5" before the Breacher. Now I need a recommendation for someone to thread the barrel for RemChokes. |
Honest question, what’s the thought behind having this threaded for chokes outside of maybe for a Salvo?
Quoted: Threading ours for the Rem. Breacher that taunts me from the work bench...and maybe a Mod. or Full choke for migratory geese. View Quote Of course, I'm of the opinion that nearly everything resulting in a dead goose is a good thing so kill all you can. |

Would that be legal? Regulations usually specify shotguns for geese, and if the Tac-14 is not a "shotgun" by definition it might not be. Of course, I'm of the opinion that nearly everything resulting in a dead goose is a good thing so kill all you can. View Quote Carving up a new Laminated stock set for the pistol grip seems appropriate as well. |

Quoted: No......it drops the overall length below 26” View Quote |

Picked it up yesterday and in a moment of unaccustomed sanity, I've decided just to swap out the furniture and add a plus1.
Having it threaded for choke tubes and adding the Breacher tube adds nearly 2" to the OAL. Now to Youtube mag tube detent removal. |
