What is the standard length of pull on the remington 870's and 1187's?

14 inches if I'm not mistaken...  Someone will correct me if wrong but I'm 99.9999999% sure.

You are 100% correct.
You can convert the Model 870 Youth shotgun to an adult size by changing the rear stock to an adult length stock. The youth stock has a 13 inch length of pull, whereas the adult stock has a 14 inch length of pull (The fore end does not need to be changed). A new stock bolt may be needed depending on the type of stock you replace it with. Also, you may wish to change the barrel from a 21 inch barrel to a 26 inch or 28 inch barrel. You may order these parts by going to the Support section and then into Parts Information. You can look at the complete Price List or choose the individual model.
That came from the support center at the remington website.

Does anyone know who offers a fixed stock that has a LOP of around 11"?

MP906, I know you can get a 12" stock. Hogue makes them, and someone made one that is on my brothers Yost-Bonitz 12 guage.

Thanks.

I'm trying to find a fixed stock short enough for CQB work w/ a vest.

SpeedFeed also makes a reduced length stock. 13" w/ buttpad & 12 w/ buttplate. Same stock, different end piece. -Justin

If you are LEO I cannot recommend the Knoxx SpecOps enough!!!  In a word, awesome.  Great for tac teams or any officer who still has a pump gun instead of a carbine.  It is fully adjustable from 11.25 to 15.5 (?) AND reduces felt recoil by 58% or something close to that.  I wish that I had found mine much, much sooner than I did.

The best way to check what kind of LOP you need it bymaking a right angle with your arm and placing the buttpad on your bicep and put your finger on the trigger (Unloaded of course) and you can find out if its to long/short/ or JUST right

I've tried the youth stock and that was ok.

What is the LOP of a fully closed M4 stock?  That is usually about right if I'm wearing a vest.
