Have you considered replacing it with a carbine and why ?  I like the versitility and range of the shotgun.

This time of year I will be using my shotgun more for hunting and sporting clays.  So I do not need to carry a carbine

I would rather somebody steal my mossberg persuader than my 1000+ AR.

In some states (like Arkansas), you cannot carry a loaded rifle in a vehicle, but you can carry a shotgun.
