Picked up an 1100 12Guage 2 3/4.  It has poly furniture and a nice 23" barrel.

I would like to put it in Tactical Trim.  18.5" Barrel ported?, tac light (Target ID), Low light sights.  Do not want to modify the original barrel in case I want to put it back to turkey hunt.

So what would you guys do?  Where would you buy a barrel?

I am new to the shotgun world so I know nothing and know of no resources.

Your suggestions on my new project is appreciated.  Thanks!

if you cut the barrel you might have some feed issues. i had mine cut to 18.5 and had the gas port opened up and it's still having some cycling issues.

Quoted:
Does it have a straight stock or a pistol grip?

Monte Carlo

1100 barrels are available darned near anywhere.  The only barrels more available are 870 barrels.

Yes but not the 18.5"  or the 21" with the sights or a rail.  Especially not without rifling.

Perhaps that's why I have not found any 18.5 inchers.

Thx

I put a ghost ring site on mine and I really like it.  Also look at the Choate Combat Bolt Handle.  It's a huge advantage over the factory one.

11-87 of mine modified, could do the same with the 1100.

Nothing fancy just functional

The extra large charge handle on the 1100 bolt CAN Not DO cause feeding problems and will slow down you cyclic rate.  The little factory nub works just fine for me.

You can call and talk to Mark directly.  Make sure you know the Remington part number for the barrel; it makes things much faster, and much easier.  That's where I got my 21" barrel from.

Be fore-warned, only stout shells cycle the gun with that barrel.  The only birdshot that has cycled w/that barrel is Winchester Heavy Pheasant @ 1300fps and 1 3/8oz shot.  I have others to test, but have not tested them as yet.  Full-power buckshot and slugs work perfectly.
