Today, I'm going to wally world (Wal-Mart (Wal*Mart) (*=Star in the sign)you got the idea) to get a new shotgun. What shotgun you may ask, I'm going to get a remington model 870 12 gauge pump shotgun. What it cost you may ask well it cost 268.69$. I don't think I could get one cheaper and it is in 3.5 inch magnum.

Any objections to the shotgun? I already got a Mossberg 500.

I plan on geting a mag extension, Surefire pump, and a speedfeed stock for the remington 870.

I don't think anyone will object to an 870. They are great shotguns.......It sounds like you got a good deal on it. As for the magazine extension, as long as the 870 you got is not an "Express" version, you should be good to go. On the Express models, you have to either drill out or somehow smooth out the two dimples in the magazine tube in order to get the extended magazine to work.

I have a Mossberg 835 in 3-1/2" magnum and it is a great goose gun, but the 870 still fits me better. The only thing I think the Mossberg shotguns have over the 870's is the location of the safety. Being left handed, I like the safety on the receiver tang.

I think the mossberg 500 has the pump release over the 870 as well.


They where sold out of remington model 870s so I'm gonna need to wait until they get one in.

Thanks for the link Dano. Another question. Anyone know the length of the mag extensions. is it in 2 3/4 so if it says adds 2 shells it means adds 5.5 inchs.

I have the Knoxx stock on my 835. Looks funny with the 28" barrel but it's so easy to shoot those magnum rounds
