I'm trying to decide which stock to put on my 870.  My goal is to have a folding or collapsable stock that will still allow me to get a good, steady hold/cheek weld for shooting slugs out to 100yds with iron sights.  I've been reading about the AR stock adapters, and also seen the collapsable wire stocks, top-folders, and side-folders.  Which would meet my goals the best?

I just got the Knoxx copstock folder for my 870. It is a pistol grip with over-folding wire stock. It reduces recoil by more than 50%, and works as well as advertised. The recoil-reducing mechanism also works with the stock folded. I just shot 50 rounds of S&B full power 00 buck in less than 45 minutes and it is totally painless. It was about the same as shooting a 20 with light game loads. I paid $85 and highly reccomend it.

After looking at the ACE site, I'm kind of curious about their adapter for M4 style stocks.  They have one that is folding and collapsable.  Are the ACE folding stocks secure when extended, or do they wobble around?
