I have the Benelli SBE and when loading the magazine tube the follower keeps pinching my thumb. Don't have this problem with my M1S90, anyone here have the same problem??

BTW the follower seems to stick out a little further than it does with the M1.

Any help appreiated.

My brother and I just purchased SBE's and shot them last week for the first time. Our thumbs were bleeding from the loading gate pinching. We found that it helps to lay your thumb flat (fingernail side against the gate) against the gate as you push the round into the magazine. Also, you could use your other hand to push and hold the gate while loading, but this tend to be slower. Hope this helps.

Interesting, is this a SBE trait only??

I have seen this issue with other shot guns before, but the SBE is by far the worste. I think that a slight redisign of the loading gate might help out, or maybe a good gunsmith could modify it to help out, but still function reliably. I think that I am going to just make it a training issue for myself and use the method mentioned in my earlier post. This method seems to make loading easier and more reliable. Just my 2 cents.
