Hello, all.

Recently purchased the Mark IV 22/45 Lite and M&P 22 Compact.  I'm aware of the recall so I'll be getting an extra mag from that but was wondering where the best place to find mags at a good price might be.   Are there ever any specials?  Coupon codes?

Yeah, I saw that.  But the M&P were sold out and no backorder.

And since I'm new to these pistols, are we able to use the S&W .22 12 round magazines in the .22 Compact?

CDNN had 22/45 mags cheaper than Midway's sale price.

I just looked.  Do these not have traditional base plates?  I've never seen any like these.

Is $22.28 a good price for M&P .22 Compact Mags?

That mag is for the Mark III/IV series and will not work with your 22/45.

CDNN has "OEM" mags cheaper than Midway.  They don't work as well as Ruger branded mags.  I will sell you 4 of them if you don't believe me.  Midway was $17 for true OEM Ruger branded mags.

I have both M&P 22 full and compact pistols.  The full size 10 and 12 round magazines are NOT interchangeable with the compact model.

The compact frame is a reduced size, not just a shortened grip as in other pistol models.  The place on the magazine that locks into the catch is approximately 1/4" lower on the full sized magazines.

Caveat Emptor.  CDNN does sell OEM mags as well as aftermarket.

Off topic - A big reason I bought a 22/45 was because I received a 22/45 magazine in a prize pack from a match.  Can't let a mag go to waste, ya know?  That 22/45 LITE has turned out to be one of my favorite guns, and I have more rounds through it than anything else I own.

Thanks!  I almost pulled the trigger on the full sized 10 round magazines at LA Police Gear since they are having a 15% discount.  Brought the magazines down to $22 and change.
