Anyone have experience with the old metal one and the new plastic one? I saw that Oly is going out of business and that triggered my interest in owning one.

There's occasionally and original metal one on GB, in the 400-600 range. Do these usually work? I'm guessing that they weren't popular because they didn't stay in production.

Do the Olympic ones work? These seem to be around 250 but are made of polymer.

Any experience is appreciated.

the original didn't sell because it looked like a "space gun" from the Buck Rogers movies.
The remake poly didn't sell for basically the same reason.

It will go the way of the  Tround Gun and the Gyro Jet gun.

The original manufacturer got screwed out of business by the sole exclusive distributor because of a poorly worded contract. The pistols are reported to be reliable and accurate.

I don't think the polymer frame Oly Wolverines would be any different in that regard as they sold well enough to keep them in production for the last ten years.
