Ive got a Liberty Regulator in jail and am looking for a good pistol host. Prefer something that is ready to go with 1/2-28 threads out of the box, but would love to hear about anything

I have a Mk III with threaded barrel and it is smok'n! Whenever the threaded Mk IV is released, I can't think of any viable competition.

I have a 22/45 LITE and a SW Victory.  I prefer the LITE, but the Victory is a nice pistol too, just very heavy.

I'm currently using a Walther P22, which does just fine, but I've had my eye on the ATI/GSG 1911-22 for a long time.

You may have a problem getting a host without an adapter.  Most .22 barrels are too narrow for the threads.

I have a 22/45 and an SR-22. I would recommend either one.

I like the 22/44 lite model, but don't care for the goofy anodized colors

If that's what's stopping you, i recommend one word: CERAKOTE. The 22/45 is one of the best platforms in my opinion. i have two and run my Mite and Sparrow on them. I also have an M&P .22 and still prefer the Rugers. Just my opinion.

Did they discontinue making them, I dont see them anymore on Rugers website?

Ruger is in the middle of switching from the MkIII to MkIV. General consensus is they're going to be back after the switch. the model is too popular to discontinue altogether.

Good to know. What makes the 22/45 lites better than the new mark 4? Are they making the threaded barrels for them yet? The Mark series is pretty popular around me

The new Mk4 isn't available as a LITE model yet.

What makes the LITE so popular, IMO, is that they are light, have a barrel profile to match up with most .22 cans, are reliable, and are accurate.  The strong aftermarket support doesn't hurt either.

Shooting my S&W Victory is work compared to the LITE, due to the weight of the gun.

Give it a few months, and a Mk4 LITE will be available.  Or, look around for a Mk3 version.  The takedown isn't as bad as people make it out to be.  You'll want to have the manual next to you the first few times you do it, but it's really not that hard.

Love my 22/45 LITE, luckily I got the slightly older black fluted style instead of the bright colors with gills they have now!

I've been very happy with both the 22/45 and M&P22 Compact as suppressor hosts.

I use a GSG 1911, and a M&P 22 ( not the new one, the old full size version), love them both, but I like shooting the GSG better, heavier in the hand offsets the suppressor, (Sparrow), but its not really that much weight, the GSG just balances better.  Can't go wrong with anything that anyone has suggested so far. That being said, I am still lusting after a 22/45 non lite version, and anxious to see what Ruger does with the mkIV's.

I have the threaded model without factory sights, I believe its the HB model.  Really like it.  Its accurate, little heavier than the lite models but not bad.

Not sure if you made a decision yet but here is another vote for a GSG 1911. My can isn't mounted but you get the idea of options out there.

My Buckmark has a factory 4.4" threaded barrel.   I replaced the front sight with a TruGlo fiber optic sight.   I replaced the top rail with one from Tactical Solutions including an adjustable rear sight.   After zeroing, I added and zeroed a Weaver red dot.   Along the way, I removed the factory finger groove URX grips.   (Gosh, those grips suck and negatively impact reliability.)   I replaced them with custom grips.

All factory internal parts resulting in a 2 to 2.5 pound trigger pull.

I have considered buying a second upper for my S&W 41 to have that suppressed.    They are incredible rimfire guns.

Can't get one ready out of the box unless it's used, but I really love my CZ Kadet with Sparrow. By far I shoot that pistol more than anything.
