Thanks! I really wanted the blued one, but this guy popped up used at a price I couldn't say no to. Only work I want to do on it at the moment is putting an ambi on it so a dirty lefty like me could use it better.

Commander hammer.
S&A checkerd MSH w/lanyard loop
3-hole Videcki Speed Trigger
TiNi Blackened barrel (bushing is factory blackened)
Wilson Combat mag.

Yummy. I've got a lot of the needed parts (not the barrel of course) laying around, I can't see myself getting bored of the A2 as is but that's a nice upgrade if I do.

^Yeah thanks. It's a loose clone. I gave up looking for a King's 201a. The barrel is standard DW, not BAR-STO. They are definitely a great platform to build off of.

Love that SME.

Check out the bawidamann mag pouch. I used to use the jmcustom pouch as well but these are much slimmer.

@newyork @03RN

Does y'alls JM AIWB mag carrier have three belt loop holes in it?  I don't know if mine is right or not.  None of my double stack carriers have three.

No, but mine has the same plastic loop as newyorks. That split loop looks like the screws are closer together.

Here’s mine. Are yours 9mm specific pouches or 45 and they fit 9mm just the same?

I got mine maybe 6 weeks ago direct from JM. Idk if it’s a design change or what.

Very similar to the M45A1, front checkering, black ionbond, front night sight with black rear, and single side safety are the main differences. This has been the perfect 1911 for me.

Bet that thing will look sharp in 100 years.  Ion bonding is extremely resistant to me

Found this MC operator as  a trade in the EE. Picked her up today.

My wife was excited to show me a new onesie this morning when I got home from work as well. She's due with our first in August.

Attachment Attached File

A few standard upgrades for me.
S&A mainspring housing
Wilson combat bullet proof extractor
Wilson combat bullet proof fbfp stop
Wilson combat bullet proof extended mag release
Ergo grips. Very thin but still support the plunger tube

I was having trouble removing the safety so I couldn't fit the new Harrison short trigger yet. Im exhausted and need to go to bed. Ill get it in tomorrow.

Awesome score man. Great looking gun.  I know i've had problems getting Springfield's ambi safeties off before too.  I vaguely remember using a butter knife to get under the weak-side safety and pry/wiggle it off.

Thanks guys.

Got the new trigger in.

Shot 150 rounds today. It's got a great trigger and is very tight. The first trigger pull resulted in a fail to fire. I got concerned but there were no more problems after that.

RI has a qual for it's CC permit. It's 30 rounds at 25 yards on a b-22. High score is a 300. My best ever is with my loaded shooting gold dots for a 280. Today shooting blazer brass I got a 270, then a 271 with my first 60 rounds through her. That's pretty good for me shooting ball. It's shoots a little higher than I'm used to but not enough to worry about. I don't typically like 3 dot sights either so I might change the rear out as well. It's not a pressing matter though.Attachment Attached File

After a uspsa this morning
Attachment Attached File

I shot like shit.

I did deadlift this morning but I cant really blame that.

I missed a ton of steel at 25 yards. This gun shoots 4ish" to the left at 25 and I never tapped the sights over. I kept missing and just focused on the front sight harder, gripped harder, and focused on pulling the trigger straight to the rear. I was seeing the bullets hit over the right shoulder but never adjusted my aim...dummy

But it never bobbled. I need a blacked out rear sight as well. 3 dots we're distracting.
