If changing from my stock 18# recoil spring in my Wilson CQB to a 16#, will this increase my slide to frame battering or lessen it? I think it will lessen it since the return to battery won't be as forceful on the slide stop pin as a heavier one.  Is this correct thinking?

That is going to depend on the loads used. If you use some hot stuff, frame battering will be worse with your change of springs. Shit man, you paid good $$$$$$$$$$ for that beauty. Time you made use out of a few of those dollars! Call WC and ask one of their techs which # they reccommend for your pistol for the ammunition you want to use. They are always happy to help.

Where's the brass going? @ 3-5' away? that's about where you want it for whatever load you are using. <2'? you're using spring that's too heavy/ >5'? Too light.
