Give me the scoop on building 1911's. I am wrapping up my AK builds and am looking for another something to build. Got pointed towards building a 1911 which I had never thought of before. Problem is that there is not much information in these 6 pages or even in the archive server. SO I am open to any and all information, web links, parts lists, prices, suppliers for build parts, tools needed, etc, as well as any and all legal issues to be aware of. Thanks in advance!!

Get Jerry Kuhnhausens The Colt .45 Automatic A Shop Manual. Shows exactly how to disassemble and reassemble, fit, and adjust a 45. EXCELLENT book and well worth the money.

A 45 may not expand but it will never be smaller than .45.
