I have a Briley coming for my 1911, looking for tips or tricks in installing it, and maintenance tips.

I'd try to help, but about all I could do is quote Kuhnhausen's book on bushing installation.  Thus, free bump.

I recently worked on a Kimber Target Classic with one of the Briley bushings. I tightened up the frame & slide, properly fitted the barrel, replaced the MIM parts and recut the feed ramp/polished the breech face.

The Briley bushing was a pleasant surprise to work with. It had a nice snug fit on the factory barrel right out of the box and only required some minor fitting to the slide. The Kimber now shoots extremely well and the owner is very happy. Send me an IM if you want his contact info.
