can i get someone's opinion on this pistol? I've been shopping for a .45acp and this gun is for sale pretty cheap on the EE.

Many will say they are worthless, while a few will vouch for how great theirs are.  The fact is they are rather low quality, and while some are nicely finished, most are crude.  Without going into too much detail, many of the internal parts are excedingly soft.  However, if you take them for what they are, which is a very cheap 1911, they can be very fun to plink with and to learn about the 1911.

On a scale of 1-10, 10 being a high end custom, 5 being a very average, low end Springfield, and 1 being the worst nightmare AMT or Llama,  I would say it's a 3.5.   Think of it as buying Hyundai's cheapest car.   It looks nice, it gets you from point A to point B fairly well, and by the time you get some real miles on it, you might wish you had spent more.

I never know if my comments will get taken the wrong way, and I tend to play it a little safe when it comes to giving a recommendation.  There really is nothing wrong with having an RIA for fun.  I would really shoot the gun a lot before I trusted one for carry, but otherwise it should probably do what you want it to.  If the price is right and it's a recreation gun, go for it.  I owned one for a few months because the owner let it go so cheap ($230 if memory serves).
