I was just wonder if Para Ordance's 1911s are any good? What about the 15-round version? Is it reliable? Any input will be appreciated.

Ty.

I've owned my Para Limited P14-45 (15-rounder) for many years. It has yet to fail. The hi-cap is the reason I bought it. It now sports a fiber optic front sight for range use and nice S&A wood grips. Great gun for me.

BTW, the Para line (at least the double-stacks) are NOT considered 1911s around many parts. Here at AR15, Para has its own discussion forum. Take a look.

I own a Para-Ord Tac Four and a P12. Love them both. Reliable, accurate, and high capicity.

I had a P13 Limited and now own a STS P18 9mm.Both were/are fine pistols.

I have a Para P-16 and won't buy another one unless it is checked out by a gunsmith first. My P-16 is out of spec (barrel ramp cut) which was causing it to break the barrel link after a few thousand rounds.

If you get a good one, they are okay guns.

My P14-45 is my first choice for a handgun when the need arises. Had it since 1993 and nothing has pulled me away from it. Super gun... reliable, accurate and who can argue with the 1911 format that carries 14+1 45ACP?

I use a Para 14-45 ltd in IPSC. I had it for years and it's seen many tens of thousands of rounds.
I have only replaced the recoil spring twice and main spring once.

Years ago I had a problem with a P-14-45 barrel that I didn't like the way it was machined. The guys @ para took it back and said it was within spec. I said that for me it didn't shoot straight and I had to drift the sights too much to work for me. They replaced the barrel for me @ no cost even though it was within their specs. That is outstanding customer service. I now own a P-12-45 stainless limited that I carry every day. I also have a P-14-45 stainless limited and a P-14-45LDA stainless limited. I love all three of these guns. If you decide on a Para, get the limited series. They come with a "match grade barrel" amoung other things. I carry the P-12-45 stainless limited with the 12 round magazine and two extra 16 round magazines I put together from parts during the hi cap ban. I like the 45 45s concept. All three guns work great with all my magazines even the frankenstein ones I made. Great guns and great service!
