Stripped my Colt Commander for refinishing and I'm having a frustrating time getting the trigger end back together, especially that sear spring.
I'm looking for step-by-step instructions, anyone know is they have ever been posted?

Thank you much!

Not sure if this will help, the site I am going to link to doesn't have any good descriptions on how to reassemble a 1911, but this should help you.

Link to innerworkings of 1911.

Between Hobbs' directions and the pictures you should be able to get a 70 series back together.

I bought a bunch of books and manuals that weren't worth squat for actually doing my own 1911 work, then I got this:
JERRY KUHNHAUSEN THE U.S. M1911/M1911A1 PISTOLS A SHOP MANUAL

If you're only going to have one 1911 book, this is the one to have.

Be sure you know how to function check the safeties and action before you load, and I usually download the mags to two or three rounds only first time I test out a new trigger job. Those runways can be a little too exciting

Call around to local gunstores and find someone who can help you with it.

It's much easier having someone (who is proficient) SHOW you.

Also, get the Kuhnhausen books and perhaps the AGI video.
