I have never used the CMP before.

They require proof of citizenship, to buy a few 1911 mags??

Should I fax my Birth Certificate or PassPort or what?

Suggest disassembling and cleaning with a very light coating of oil or whatever you use. These are all NOS and some have rust and residue build-up.

I emailed a copy of my passport and shooting club member card and followed up with a phone call. They updated my record and I was able to make the purchase. All total it took about thirty minutes.

Out of curiosity, which model of checkmate mag is usgi?

Honestly don't feel like sending my birth certificate to the cmp, but interested in owning real deal mags.

Looks like about the same thing, only different.

Those are blued, not flat black, more than twice as much, & out of stock.

I received mine on Friday. I ordered 10. It took 3 days! Fast shipping! I opened 4 and loaded them. 3 were good but one would only take 3 rounds and then freeze up. I took it apart and finally got 7 rounds in it. We will see how it breaks in. Other than that one they have all been awesome!

I got my 10 this week. All were in great shape except one had a little bit of rust on the inside of the follower. They all loaded 7 rounds easily.

I'll shoot through them all this week to check function.

I got 3 failure to feeds on the last round of 3 different mags. I'll mark them before next range session to see if it's a consistent issue.

I bought 8 of these from CMP, 7 run just fine, one of them the mag catch is a little off and it's hard to seat the mag. I'll file that one a little to get it right. I'm very pleased for what they cost.

I ordered 10 of them earier this year. I've been shooting 4 of them, had too many issues with 1 and tossed it, but I won't complain. They make for a decent $9 range mag

Tried one of mine. Was a bit difficult to load, but hand fed just fine.

Have not tried at Range, yet.
