Hey guys,
I was wondering what the consensus on NP3 was from robar. A buddy got a hi-power back and it looked / felt amazing. I was thinking of sending in my rougher mak for the same treatment but figured I would ask what people had experienced with them first. Before it comes up Yes I know it runs the collector appeal but that doesn't really appeal to me.

I had it done to a thin-skinned HK P7M8.  It is a wonderful finish with its own quality of metal to metal that is hard to describe.  Really nice thing to have in highly humid Summers around here, too, due to the corrosion resistance.

tagging this for later. Im curious to do some more digging. So the key benefits are lubricity and ease of cleaning with corrosion resistance?

Dropped it at robar yesterday, might take up to 10 weeks for it to come back but I throw some pics up when she comes in

Yep, I am definitely a believer in NP3 and wouldn't hesitate to have it applied by Robar to any firearm, esp. one that will see heavy carry and/or hard use.  Currently planning to send them an older Kimber that needs refinishing, in fact.

I took it out and shot it today and was really happy with its performance. I ended up dropping off my the tokarev I learned to shoot on as well. In the past I have been just shooting my m11 and mk25 but the finish really impressed me. It's much smoother and earned a place in the range case.
