How's the recoil on that?

Just installed a Zev Pro trigger in my newest Dagger. Between the improved frame shape and pretty good trigger, I am liking this.

@patw

Don't know yet. I just picked it up Friday and had to work all weekend.

Hoping to find out Tuesday after work. Have a set of 3" 38/357 barrels too.

I always go at the tail end to haggle with FFLs since they never want to lug stuff back to their trailers and shops.

Ruger Police Service Six and Remington 870 Tac-14.

I'm ready for another season of Miami Vice.

Not OP but it is a now discontinued factory gun from SA. Part of their Masterclass guns. Not full custom shop, but a little more love than their standard production guns.

I just sold my tac-14 hardwood to pay down some debt. I regretted it the moment I agree'd to sell, but Biden's economy is full of suck.
Probably will pick up another one down the road if Remington is still around. They are just too cool.

Picked this up very lightly used a few weeks ago. Swapped out the shitty E2 grips for some Combats. Dropped it off for smoked bronze Cerakote today. Making a Combat Elite style mash up.

The gun gods have been gracious. Just snagged a four inch S&W Model 57 in .41 Magnum and a Colt Detective Special 3rd Issue in .38 Special.

My latest; a factory ACRO cut M&P9. It's apparent S&W is listening to customer feedback there are two obvious improvements over earlier M2.0 guns; the trigger is lighter with minimal overtravel and the slide catch is slightly larger allowing enough leverage to drop the slide with it. Trigger had the typical M&P grit out of the box that was easily fixed with a quick polish of the striker block and trigger bar. Still has a slight hitch on the take up due to the shape of the striker block but an Apex USB will eliminate that if it bothers me enough.

Got the S&W Model 28 today.

I might be able to get a Smith & Wesson Heritage Series Model 29-9 in .44 Magnum.

Attachment Attached File

These guns, crafted by the Performance Center in 2001 - 2002 just prior to switching to the internal lock, were built to resemble early S&;W N frames in 38 Special, .357 Magnum, .44 Special, .45 Colt, and .45 ACP Target Light, employing thin barrels and the extra frame screw. Thus the name "Heritage Series." The .44 Magnum variations are a fantasy gun since S&W never made the guns back in the day in .44 Magnum since .44 Magnum didn't exist. But that isn't a bad thing.

According to my research, only 176 guns were made in the nickel finish. Colt made more Python "Snake Eyes" than these guns just to put things in perspective and those are extremely rare. These are truly rare as hen's teeth. Literally less than 200 were ever made and that was twenty years ago. Due to simple reasons like age, wear, etc... the existence od these specific models is even rarer.

All 176 guns were ordered by Lew Horton Distributors and sold. It is estimated that half of them were sold outside of the US.

I bought a well-used one back in @ '92 when I turned 21 as my first CCW, traded it a couple of years later. I've been casually looking for another for nostalgia's sake for a while...passed a few on GB lately. Stumbled into this one yesterday at a pawn shop and said...

Had no plans to buy it, but it showed up in the mailing list from Hyatt's.  I learned to shoot on that model back in the early 80's. So couldn't resist it.  S&W tell me it is of 1989 manufacture. Oh, the bluing <sigh> Did anyone do it better that S&W? Maybe Colt with the Python.
