Got a package from AIM Surplus today...

Beautiful Chinese Tokarev. I just wiped it down, but plan to completely tear it down once I get a replacement trigger. The rear sight needs to be swapped around, like most of the other R Guns imports.

I have a Yugo Tokarev with the 1911 style safety. Always wanted a no safety Tokarev, so I might look at selling the Yugo in the near future (have a bunch of magazines for it, which seem to be going the way of S&W 10mm magazines).

Yesterday, it was a DWM Luger P08, which I got from a member on here.

Always wanted one. Might have it restored, but not something I’m planning on right now. At the most, might get some reproduction grips so they don’t shake/rattle/roll.

Nice.  Looks like essentially the same gun as my Compact CDP but color scheme is reversed. Your's, of course, is much better finished that my twenty year old one.

Just got this S&W Model 28-2. Been looking at getting a Model 10, but found this one.  I’ll get a Model 10 soon. Still need to clean this one

Nice score OP you'll love it.  Due to the heavy frame you can shoot some serious loads.  I have a pair of 28-2's, 1  in 4" and the other is a 6" which are tied for 2nd. place in my .357 stable.

I don’t know anything about S&W revolvers and bought this one without doing any research on it.  But, it seemed like a stout gun and I’ve always liked revolvers, so I figured I’d get it. After I got home and started looking up Highway Patrolman revolvers, everything I read was exactly as you said, that they are stout and can handle some pretty hot loads

I see what you did there

I just wish I could find one without the rail, for the same reasons.

You can occasionally find the old IMI/KBI import 941Rs that are physically identical to Spike's on Gunbroker (his even has the KBI Harrisburg import mark - you can see it in the BluRay release), but holy hell are they spendy. $1k+.

I was willing to live with the rail.

Purchased this one yesterday. S&W 10-5. Ever since the Model 10 DOC police trade-ins hit the market a few years ago, I’ve wanted one.  Looked at few locally that came with the holster, speed loaders, and DOC medallion on the side, but never bought one.  This one is a Century Arms Import and has the “JP” and number on the underside of the frame.

To further add to the heresy, the HP-DA is a superior product compared to the BHP, IMO.   The HP-DA fixes every complaint I had with the BHP.

I've only run a couple hundred rounds through it, but it's a fantastic shooter. The trigger is unbelievable for a striker fired gun.
