Can a "Walther" P1 withstand sustained use of 9mm Nato ammunition?

As a side note, would a used, but good condition S & W model 459 do any better or worse?

The P1 is an alloy frame and as such, higher pressure ammo will increase wear and shorten life. Occassional use of +P or other higher pressure rounds should be just fine.
