depends on what you want it for.
personally, i'd get the 19. smaller for concealment but big enough to control, holds 15 rounds, lighter than the beretta. nothing wrong with the beretta but it is one big heavy gun for a 9mm. i had no love for the M9 when I was in military... guess that is just my personal feelings carrying over. |

I've got a .45 that is, imho, the best .45 available, a Sig P220. I've never owned a 9mm because why would you own a 9mm when you got the best .45? Anywho, the price is good, so I figure it's time to get a 9mm.

I've got a 92F. just for the fun/nostalgia of it. (plus parts and accessories are more readily avalible)M9 clone))
I don't like it for carry if I have a choice (and I always do)  The slide mounted safety is a reach and it's UP for fire vs down like my 1911's and HK USP45F. |

I wouldn't...
I'd save my money up for a HK USPc or SIG if I had to have 9mm. If it wasn't a 9, I'd go 45ACP in a SIG P220 or Kimber (I already have a HK USP45F) |

Heck, those 9's rarely go on sale. A Sig would cost about 3 bills more.

I like the 92F, but I have big hands. Good factory hicaps are also out there in plenty of numbers. The 17/19/92 are usually priced similarly everywhere. Least they were in my gunstore...

I REALLY like my 92FS, but will readily admit that it's NOT the ideal concealed carry weapon-which is why I bought a SIG P239. Reluctanly,IMHO, between the choices given, you may want to look at the Glocks closely (stricly as a carry weapon). Personally I don't care for Glocks, but I'll admit that they're reliable and accurate, and much lighter than the Berettas. If ya got the jack, buy 'em both. You won't be disappointed.

I own a Glock 17, 19, and a Beretta 92FS.
For a range gun, I would think the Beretta 92FS would beat them all. Hicaps are cheaper than Glock. Accurate and low recoil. We're talking range gun here, right? Not carry gun. |

I like Glocks but in this case I would have to go with the Beretta 92F
You already stated that you have a SIG 220 and this would only be for the sake of having a 9mm, not for CCW. The Beretta is better looking, cheap mags, plenty of accurate, many parts available. Everything needed for a good range gun. |

The compact Berettas are very nice and don't seem suffer from the excessive bloat of their full size line. I've got a compact 96 and wouldn't part with it.

What? No CZ75 in there as a choice? Blow those ones off and then find a CZ75.
You can spend more money on a gun, but you can't get more gun for the money. |

I want this gun to back up my .45. My .45 to back up my M-4. It would be a carry gun, probably in a shoulder rig.
The reason other guns are not in the choices is because only these guns are for sale. I'm leaning towards the Glock 19. Thanks, John |

I would go with the glock 19. For me the 19 shots better and is easy to carry.

IT all depends on personal preference, you need to go shoot these pistols first. My first inclination would be to not buy any of the guns you mentioned. If I absolutely had to, I would probably go with the G17 because of the 17 round mags + 3 pinky extender =20 rounds.
I have shot glocks and berettas, Ive owned a G19 and hated it. Glocks and berettas are very wide and chunky, depends how big your hands are, how it fits you. My 1911 fits me perfect, I think when I purchase a 9mm again it will be a browning high power for sure, much smaller and less chunky than glocks or berettas. Or a Sig p226 with a stainless blackened slide. |

Never had a G19 but I'd go with a Glock over a Beretta. I don't like the ergonomics of the Berettas, plus I'm in the military, so that means I have to hate them... it's been programmed.

Yes I would put up with the wideness because I think its an excellent handgun. Of course as I said my first choice is the high power made in belgium with a nice fifteen round mag. |
