Hi,
I'm shopping for a personal defense gun and thought about the Glock.
Cal would be .40, .45 or 9mm.

Thought initially about a used pre-ban with 10+ rounds magazines, also because of price.

What are the difference between the generations?  I see many people advertising the generations 2 and 3.  Should I avoid gen 1 and look for gen 3?

Any opinions and suggestions appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

I have 3 Glocks, a 20,29, and a 33. Love them all.

Can't help you on the Difference between Generations, sorry.

IMO, Glock is a very good pistol.

The gen 3 glock has a accessory rail for weapon mounted lights, and finger notches on the pistol grip. The gen 1 and 2 do not. If the weapon light is not something your interested in then a gen 2 would be fine.

Gen 1 has no finger grooves on its grip, Gen 2 does.
