From my humble collection of pistols Sigs (P225, P228 and P220), H&K (1xP7M8 and 1xP7M13), Glocks (2xG17, G19 and G26) and Berettas (3x93FS) are among the most reliable pistols. It would be very hard to rate these pistols because they had so little failures of any kind but I would say:
Beretta (most reliable) Glock (pretty damn close) H&K Sig |

most reliable handgun? A revolver, wont fail to feed, and fail to fire is an easy fix, and unless your reloading a failure to eject isnt a problem.

Glocks all the way, they has never failed me, (have 5 of them) with 14 rounds, I feel pretty.

Another revolver vote. I can't say that one make would be better than another but I have shot an awful lot of very, very old Smiths that still function just fine.
If pushed to pick just one model from one maker I'd pick the S&W Model 10. |

Anything man made can break. Even the best manufacturers turn out the occassional lemon. Even the most reliable gun can be improperly maintained or fed inappropriate ammo.

Thomson Center Contender/Encore...
You want it loaded? You place the cartridge in the chamber. You want it cocked? You pull the hammer back. You want it unloaded? You pull the cartridge out. What's to fail? It may be a little slower to the second shot than the previous selections, But, I bet more reliable than all of them. P.S. Any quality revolver with coil springs is a close second. Kent |
